The Story Behind LSG
LSG Drilling was founded in 2026 with a simple belief: great drilling companies are built around great people. Our management team brings more than 55 years of combined drilling experience across mineral exploration, deep-hole coring, surface, underground, and remote operations throughout North America. Our approach is straightforward—put our people and safety first, provide dependable equipment and experienced leadership, and deliver consistent production for our clients. We believe professionalism, communication, innovation, and accountability are just as important as footage drilled. LSG Drilling was built to bring those fundamentals back to the forefront. Every project, every shift, and every decision is driven by the same goal: operate safely, perform efficiently, take care of our people, and deliver results our clients can depend on.
Grady got his start in the oilfields of the North Slope, working his way from a new hire up to a tool pusher position and eventually into management. While in management, the oil and gas company, he was working for started a joint venture into a unique deep-hole well-core project. After a few years pioneering deep-hole coring on preexisting wells across Alaska, the company ventured into mineral exploration. After a few years in the mineral exploration market, the oil and gas company returned to its core business, leaving the coring equipment collecting rust and dust. Grady teamed up with a coworker, Jason Davis, and formed LSG Drilling in 2026.
